Jody:
First I want to say I know my yard wasn't perfect. The yard was small, so
that made it easier.
I kind of did it the way I vacuum, which is to divide the space in quadrants
and work on one at a time. It was easy to feel if I was going over an area
that I had already mown because there wasn't the resistance on the blade. I
don't know if it would be as easy to feel with a motorized mower. It was
hard for me to get right around the planters and trees. I've never learned
to use a weed eater, which is what I really needed.
I know a blind guy who told me he puts 2 stakes in the ground with a string
between them. He mows along the string and then moves the steaks and string
to thee other side of the mower and does the next strip. He says he does
the whole yard this way. I'm not sure what he does if there are trees and
such in the way.
