[Ag-eq] Do I fight or just find some other way

Hay Susan,  thanks, yes I have thought about tiring to just get the book learning part.  The microscope isn't as much of a problem as all the little peaces of equipment we use every day.  there are cards that we put a tub of blood up to to see how many red blood cells are in it, and that can not be made bigger or the scale would be off.  there are things to test the weight of the blood, but we use a drop of blood.

I knew when I started that I just wanted the degree, I didn't want to be a vet tech.

there are jobs out there that do not require a vet tech degree or a certification, but they are low paying jobs and I thought if I had the degree I could get a bit more money.  Now a vet tech gets about $12 an hour, so you that was the reason.  I can do kennel help and maybe work as a vet assistant, I was just hoping to get a bit of education behind me so I would be more employable.

Yes I have a lot to think about again.  I just didn't think I would be going it so soon.

thanks

Barb

Barb,

Other than the microscope work, how are you doing with your classes?  Maybe
you can take all of the classes other than the microscope work.  You might
not be certified, but you would have the education and experience of the
rest of the program.  Have you looked further into employment oppertunities
with animals and what exactly is done other than the microscope work?

Susan
