Hi nella,  I go to Argosy Twin Cities.  They have a resource office, but the only blind people that have gone though the school didn't tak e anything that had a lab in it.  So I am knew grownd for them.

I have looked through the N F B and can't find no one.  I need to f ind some one that does lab work.  that is the hard part.  There are a lot of little insterments that I can not make bigger, or put a magnifying glass on it.

As far as what I want to do, I can not put a name to a job. It could be a vet assistant, or kennal help, but I want to be in contact with animals every day if possable. I would like to help stray cats I would like to teach people how to care for there pets  I would like to help and or work with wild cats.   Where I used to work people knew that I was up on the latest thing and how to care for pets.  So I would get questions quite often.

I wouldn't mind working on a farm, and raising animals.

Rabbets are a lot of fun to.

So how a degree will or will not help I don't know.  I just thought it would make people take me seriously and not just the blind girl who loves animals.

Barb:

What school do you go to?

What types of jobs would you like to have with animals?

Does your school have a disabilities resource center?

Maybe you could check out the NFB mentor program to see if there is anyone
who is a vet tech.  They could give you ideas on how to accomplish different
parts of the program.  The American Foundation for the Blind also has a
mentor program.  The website is www.AFB.org

Good luck.
