[Ag-eq] horse training

I looked up Clinton Anderson and it sounds very similar to natural
horsemanship. Natural horsemanship involves a lot of ground work and work
on communications with your horse. I only drive my pony in open fields and
on roads. When I drive in the woods I take someone with better vision with
me. My pony wears blinders and depends on me for direction. This is tricky
when I can't see much beyond her head. I have to be very careful. My
trainer advised me to always take a sighted person with me but it is not
always practical. So, I stick to roads and open places when I go out solo.

Liz:

Can you please tell us more about the natural horsemanship course, such as
who teaches it and anything else.

I would like to hear more about driving. I've always thought it would be
hard to drive as a totally blind person. It would seem so strange to only
have contact through the mouth. I get so much information from my horse
while riding. I can tell when he is relaxed, excited, nervous and the like.
