It wasn't my friend saying the ignorant stuff although I was shocked when
she wanted me to reconcile with the woman.

Oh that's so funny! I can just imagine the shock on the person's face when
you said those things. My responses are pretty much the same as yours in
terms of being whole.

Glad to hear that as I age, I'll be less blunt. I think sometimes I'm
getting worse with age. I'm going through this stage of saying things that
are not rude but they totally shock people.

Hi Michelle,

Oh no, how embarrassing!  Your friend isn't much of a friend to be so
thoughtless.  I have had people say stupid things like that and I just say
that I am perfectly whole just the way I am and that I am too busy to worry
about what they think I might be missing.

I was shopping with my husband years ago when someone asked me if he was my
'Special Helper'.  I said yup, he's my special helper all right, that is why
I sleep with him every night, raise his kids, clean his house, do his
laundry and cook his food.  Some times being blunt is the most direct way to
point out the misguided ignorance of others.

I have always been blunt but now I am unrestrained and blunt.  Must be my
upcoming 60th birthday.  I'm really 39 with 21 years experience.
