That is neat. I haven't used clicker with the horses and probably won't
either. I just feel they don't really need it.

I am not fond of clicker training.  I do use verbal marker training but no
clicker.  I just think it adds an unnecessary step.

Yes, the lady at the stable does follow horse gentling methods.
