Horse therapy helps soldier's mental scars. Adam served in the siege of CIMIC House in Al Amarah in Iraq in August 2004. British soldiers there came under sustained attack by Iraqi insurgents, who launched more than 80 attacks over 23 days, with the British firing more than 33,000 rounds to defend the compound - in one of the longest defensive actions by British forces in recent history. Adam left the Army soon after his deployment, but was haunted by his experiences and has suffered from severe post traumatic stress, and has lost both his job and his home. He is now taking part in equine assisted therapy, a new form of therapy offered by Sun Tui, founder of The International Foundation Equine Assisted Learning (IFEAL), and is determined to become a mentor to other soldiers suffering from the mental wounds of war.
