[Ag-eq] test

Hi Jody,

Dover can wine, do a bit of a low growl and a quieter version of what we
call hound talk. He can't do the loud sort of yodel howling that a walker
hound can do and they also can be rather vocal with wines, moans, huffing
and other sound vocalizations that almost seems like they are talking to
you. Dover can still do some of this still along with pushing and rubbing
his face, head, neck and shoulders up against you.

When I'm sitting on the porch, he stands tall enough that he can just plop
his head and neck right across my belly and he canpress his chest and
shoulders all across my knees. You might as well give him a minute or he'll
just stand up on his hind legs, put a paw on your arm and shoulder and
litterly be nose to nose with you. The silly dog.

When Dover was laid up inside, he wanted to do the same thing with laying
and rubbing his head and neck all over you. The only problem with that is
he had the two open drains and all of those exposed stitches. Now I have a
thing about tuching stitches, they just creep the crap out of me. So when
Dover insisted on this sort of attention whenever I was sitting down, I'd
just catch him at the chest with my sock feet and keep him at that distance
so I could still pet and rub his head, ears, and muzzle without tuching his
stitches or being covered with his drain liquids. He unfortunately thought
this was a fun game for me to slide him backwards with my feet on the slick
wooden floor, so he blessed me with doing it quite frequently until I had to
call for Matt to rescue me from the goofy beast. LOL

We're thinking about downsizeing the garden this year because we have had
two locations and with the terrible drout we had last year, we just about
lost everything because we couldn't irrigate because we lost power the first
of July for 1 week. No power ment no running water anywhere and the
generator couldn't help because the pump is hardwired into my house fuse
box. We had a hard enough time bringing in water from about 10 miles away
for us, the animals and his one row of grapes. The grapes got enough water
to survive, but they didn't produce any grapes and we were expecting about
25 gallons of grapes. I would like to see him cut back on volume and
increase his veriety. With him working 12 hour nights, 4 nights straight
and then off 4 days straight, it really messes with your awake and sleep
times. To keep up with a place like this, it has to be enjoyable and not a
non-ending burden.
