It is thought that over-frequent worming in dogs may be the cause of irritable bowel disease.

I never thought worms would be an interesting topic but it seems to be.  I
agree that the automatic thought of deworming every other month is a lot
especially if worms can be a benefit.

I know that when they gave people who suffered from Crone's Disease case of
worms the condition actually cleared up because the worms attacked the
inflamed tissue.

Life evolved with all kinds of parasites and it wasn't until the last few
hundred years people have even known about them and tried to get rid of
them.

Just think of the old and newly used methods of using maggets to clean out
an infection or leaches to remove unwanted blood are being used again.
