Hi all

>> oK i am learning that I always get in trouble when I visit Sandy at the stable.  <GRIN>  Last week we went to visit Sandy because she has bargain used tack for sale.  Well, we found a great used  leather Ausie saddle in great condition for a real bargain!  We also found some saddle pads that were so dirty you could hardly see the pattern for $5 each.  I cleaned them up and they look new! We bridle and hackamore for $20 each.  But then Sandy asked me what my next horse purchase would be, theoretically off course.  I said I would like a grey but this time iI wanted a horse that was fully trained………..yup, his name is Powder and yes, for the cost of a half dozen riding lessons he is now our horse.  He is 14 and so well trained he doesn’t need a bit.  He was owned by a lady who rode him for 11 years until she couldn’t ride any more for health reasons.  Sandy is going to give me her number so she can visit him.  He has already changed the herd dynamics and the barn buddies are now following him.  I figure I can use the experience riding him and the other horses can learn by watching him.  This is really the horse I should have gotten first, but the three are getting along great and I can learn by training the other two.
