I would also like to echo Ms. Clark's question pertaining to AG-EQ's
leadership. ... Do we have a president or chairman?

Nella,

I did not answer the final question you had about getting knowledge of USDA
Programs. Do you know where your local state agriculture or USDA office is?
In many cases, they reside in the same offices and have a mandate to reach
out to persons who farm and are interested in some level of farming.

Check on-line at www.usda.gov and do a search on the states you are
interested in. You can search on things such as programs, womens, small
farms, organic for a few examples. If you need more assistance, I can help.

Michelle

Hi Michelle and welcome to the list.

How did you end up working for the USDA and how long have you been there?

I would love to know about the programs. I often think about how I would
like
to support myself with agriculture, instead of it just being my hobby. I've
thought about a small goat dairy or an organic cage free chicken farm.

I currently live in Arizona, but am considering moving back to Arkansas
since my
family has a lot of land there. I'm just not sure what I would do for work.

I would love to hear your ideas and suggestions.

If you like you can contact me personally. my email is
nfoster at extremezone.com

Nella
