[Ag-eq] Continuing which was the first breed of horse to be ridden?

I suppose the answer to that question is, really, a question of semantics.
There is archaeological evidence of horses being ridden in a bridle and bit as long ago as 4500BCE, 
which preceded the Arabian by hundreds of years, however, the question as laid down in the quiz did 
say  "breed of horse" rather than just horse, so if that is the case, and a recognisable breed of 
horse is wanted rather than just your generic horse,  as Genghis Khan's warriors may have been 
mounted on a hodge podge of ponies rounded up from the steppes of Asia with no, particular, 
resemblance to each other except in their hardiness, which was brought about by natural selection, 
the Arabian which was developed by selection imposed by Man, the claim of that breed to be the first 
that was ridden could hold some validity.
