Tracy:

You could get a live trap and relocate it. If you have a neighbor or
someone you don't care for you could take it there!

Ok just joking about that, but my mind tends to work that way. Lol

Huh, groundhog house!
Do you have any solutions? I guess there, you can have someone hunt it
down.
I have some groundhog repellent spray that seems to work pretty well, but I
have to be diligent about renewing it after a rain. It's pretty
nice-smelling to humans, sort of like rosemary.

I read online about a fence, but the writer said you have to bury 2 feet of
the fence in the ground, then have 3 feet aboveground, and bend over another
foot for an overhang. Whew! With all that fence, how do I get into the
garden myself? If I build a gate in all that, can't the groundhog just
climb the gate?

Tracy:

It sounds like you have a groundhog house. Lol

I didn't realize you have them there. They're also a problem here.

Hi Courtney.
Welcome to the list. Please tell us a bit about yourself.

My big greenhouse came with a shade cloth, but I've never used it. I figured
it would be too shady.
The trouble with keeping the greenhouse up in the summer is water. The roof
is closed, so rain doesn't get in. I either have to carry water out there,
drag the hose way to the back, or set up a sprinkler inside. All possible,
but I haven't done any of them. But the groundhog is making me reconsider
my options.
Tracy

Hello. I am new to the list so please forgive me if this topic has been
discussed. For your green houses, consider placing a shade cloth on the top
of your green house. It is a mesh like cloth that goes over the top to help
with the heat. You may be able to get it at home improvement stores or
where you purchased your green house materials.

My family owned a garden center with eight or more green houses & I
remember the guys covering many of the green houses in the spring. That was
many years ago so I don't remember much more than that.If you can't find the
shade cloth, check with your nearest, locally owned garden center.

Hope that helps.

Courtney
