[Ag-eq] weed

Tracy, it has a thick stem with lots of pointy leaves. I've asked several
people what it is, but so far nobody knows.

I don't see any seeds on it. I certainly don't want it throwing it's seeds
everywhere.

Oh, and moving the daisies is a good idea.

I sometimes leave interesting weeds. Can you move the daisies to another
pot?

Sometimes interesting weeds stay interesting, and sometimes they turn into
pests. Millet is interesting. It looks like corn, and rustles in the wind.
But it's a pest, because it spreads aggressively.
Mullein is interesting, but isn't very aggressive. It has large, fuzzy
leaves, and a tall, yellow flower spike. I get rid of it, and let some of
it grow.
What's your weed like?
Tracy

So I planted some African daisies in 3 pots. 2 of the pots are doing very
well, but a weed came up in the 3rd pot. It is so interesting looking I
just let it grow. It is crowding out the daisies. I have no idea what it
is, but it looks neat!

Nella, who has lost her mind in the garden.

Another of my marigolds is wilting from the top down. And it was so
beautiful just a few days ago.

The soil feels wet, so that's not it. Nothing has dug around it or nibbled
it.

I wonder if I have a soil disease. I've been planting marigolds in the same
place for years, and that may be a bad idea. It's also gotten a bit shady,
and I put down some old straw as a mulch, so I may have introduced some
mold, though things don't feel moldy.

I guess next year would be a good time to put some pretty veg in front, and
move the marigolds elsewhere.

Tracy
