[Ag-eq] how is everyone

Michelle how are Rosebud and Bitsy?

I still dream of someday owning a mini mule. Lol

Yes, you can plant tomatoes in pots. I put a lot of mine in pots and get
lots of tomatoes every year.

I don't know about others, but I have the best luck with the small to medium
sized tomatoes. I mean the fruit should be small to medium, not the plant
itself.

Hi Nella

I still have Rosebud and Bitsy the two minis.

I'm planning to plant beans again this year.

I'd like tips on planting tomatoes. The plants themselves make me itch
terribly so I'm wondering can I confine them to pots? They get too
overgrown.

I'd love to hear what other people are planting.

Michelle

The list has been so quiet I hope everyone is doing well.

Please chime in and give us an update. What are everyone's garden plans?

Does anyone have chickens or other livestock?

Does anyone besides me have a horse anymore?

I really hope some of you will write in and share what's going on and maybe
give us all some new ideas.

Nella

Hi Nella.
Good on you! I haven't got anything planned out, just vague ideas. A
friend works in an urban garden in Philadelphia, and she gave me some of the
hoops and fabric cover they use. I've got it all set up, but haven't
planted anything under it yet. She says the fabric discourages varmints
from gobbling up the crop, which would be great. Last year, the groundhog
ate almost everything I had.

Tracy it is doing the same thing here. Yesterday got up to 75, but today is
only 51. Tomorrow morning might be as low as 25.

I want to plant things so bad, but know if I do it will freeze. My maple
trees are already starting to bud out and so is the little flowering crab
apple. The grass is getting green in the pasture.

I got the garden all planned out in my head. I already got some of the beds
dug up and ready. I just can't wait to play in the dirt. Lol

It's 70 degrees today! It's more like late April than late February! I
feel like I should be planting my tomatoes. There's even a ball game on the
radio. I should be outside! But instead I'm stuck in my office, and
everyone is bringing me problems. I'm ready to retire.

The weather is glorious, but I'm worried the same thing will happen as last
year-my plants will be fooled, start to leaf out, and then a cold snap will
happen and cause a lot of damage. But I still enjoy the sunshine, and going
out for lunch without a jacket.

Tracy
