Tracy I had one years ago that was in a sea shell. I'm not sure what I did
wrong, but it died.

Can you tell us a bit more about how to care for them?

Where did you get yours?

Finding different and unique containers could be fun.

Subject: [Ag-eq] Air plants

I just bought myself a couple air plants, a Caput Medusiae and a
Xerographica. The Medusa is about 4 inches tall, with round, snaky leaves
growing out of the top. Very cute. The xerographica is amazing. It's
about 5 inches wide, with wide, flat, curly leaves going in every direction.
Neither of them needs any kind of pot. The Medusa is sitting in my home
office in a tiny pot I had lying around, just to help it stand up. I think
it would look neat in a candle-holder. I think it would be very decorative
to have a couple in a candelabra, if the holders were big enough to
accommodate the plant.

The xerographica is sitting in an NFB mug on an end table. They both want
bright light, but not direct sun, so I've been scampering around with my
light detector, trying to find the best spots.

Anyway, I think they're really fun plants. A friend showed me hers, and I
had to get a couple myself. Now I'm passing on the fun.

Tracy
