[Ag-eq] Living with one's four-footed neighbours

Wild animals have just as much right to live in America as people do:  actually, a lot more as they have been there a hell of a lot longer, but they can be dangerous and people must be able to protect themselves, so, other than firearms which, in my view, are, entirely, out of the picture, what nonlethal means of personal protection are available?  Would it be legal to carry pepper spray or a taser/stungun!
