Hi Susan.
Does Homer like the new arrivals, or are they ignoring each other? Or are
you keeping them apart until they get used to each other?

Did you get chickens, too? What kind did you get?
Tracy

Tracy,

It is very exciting! I can't wait to actually get my hands on them.
They are understandably skiddish being in new surroundings. Matt was
unable to put them in their barn stall tonight. I told him to just
leave them to explore their pasture space on their own and they will
venture into their stall when they want water and their feed. It is
not going to rain or storm until later this week. Homer says he
doesn't know what all the fuss is. He went into his stall, got his
feed and brows, ate his apple slices from Matt and then the barn stall
door was shut. Come on girls, get with the program! lol

I vote for Jewel's beast to cause the most trouble! lol My luck, I
would have trouble times 3.

Since I have yet to tuch them, they are shorter than a Lab at the
shoulders. The three of them are rather rolie polie. Cloey is coffee
colored and white with no horns. Blossom is solid light tan fading to
cream on her belly and legs with no horns. Bloom is a slightly darker
tan with white spots and 4 inch horns. Cloey and Blossom are about 3
years old and Bloom is younger. All three of them have beards.

He has been outside 3 times since he has fed up at the barn. In fact,
that is where he is right now, seeing if they have made it into their
stall yet. I again told him to don't shut them in just yet, give them
a day to check things out in their own way. Just go ahead in the
morning with his normal barn routine and they will soon catch on. He
has always been this way with new animals. You should have seen him
when we first got our 9 week old chickens. They were peeking at each
other through the chicken wire almost nose to beek!

I was really surprised Homer took to his horse ball. Now I am sorry
we didn't get one for him sooner. He is just a grumpy, sweet, old
fart and he will be missed when it is his time.

Hugs, Susan
