Josh:

There is very little activity on this list, but hopefully somebody will have
information for you.

I think there used to be a person with mini horses on here, but don't know
about now.

Does the ADA cover guide horses?

Good luck in your journey.

Nella

Subject: [AG-EQ] guide horses

hi,
My name is Josh Kennedy. I am new to the list. I started taking horse riding
lessons at a local lesson barn two or so weeks ago. My sighted son started
taking riding lessons in the fall of 2022 and over the next few months I got
back into horses after 34 years. There is a miniature horse at that farm.
Once I got to meet Jazzy, the mini horse, I started spending lots of
unsupervised time with her. I knew about guide horses many years ago. I then
decided I would love to have a guide horse, like Ann Edie's guide horse,
Panda, or Mona Ramouni's guide horse Cali as in a guide horse similar to
those ones. The guide horse foundation has long since shut down.
Do any of you have guide horses? Do you know of organizations who sponsor
blind people who may want guide horses, or guide miniature donkeys?

Josh
