Hello! You can get a free landline phone from Clarity Clear Caption phone. You have to have the internet I think... The service and phone is free if you have landline service because it's billed through your taxes and fees from the government on your home phone bill.  It's big, colorful and has loud volumes for the hearing impaired and the rep can come out to install it for free! Just say, you have trouble hearing .  1-866-246-7850 My mom & I both have one each! I hope this helps!  Home - Real-time Phone Captioning for Anyone with Hearing Loss

Is anyone aware of a program locally or nationally, to get a blind person a free or low cost land line phone? This fella sent a note to Richard who asked me, anyone?

My name is Norman Tipton and I am a student intern. I’m trying to find information about where I can acquire at no cost (or very low cost) a land line phone for a low income elderly blind individual who lives alone. She lives in Akron, Ohio. Can you help direct me to an agency that offers this type of service?

Thank you,

Norman
