Pass the Access Technology Affordability Act

The National Federation of the Blind urges the members of the House of
Representatives to cosponsor the Access Technology Affordability Act
(ATAA), H.R. 1529. This bill will help blind Americans afford the high cost
of qualified access technology by creating a refundable tax credit of
$2,000 for use over a three-year period.

Access technology can be expensive but is often necessary for daily tasks
such as job searching, applying for work, and completing job
responsibilities.

Since 2017, we have worked tirelessly to support this legislation because
it will expand employment opporunities, reduce financial barriers to
technology, and contribute more to the federal government through income
and payroll taxes.

Your engagment and support is essential to advancing this legislation. Please
call or email your representative today and urge them to cosponsor the
Access Technology Affordability Act.
