What makes sense in a tactile picture?

I have been working on tactile images for a long time and have experienced some rather sensational and puzzling results. I think it is time to examine what is going on.

I have posted a short audio interview this month (seven minutes) wondering out-loud about what we can do with tactile art and where we might look for clues.
