Hi Robert,
I have volunteered at the Smithsonian Information Center for 10 years. I
do not know about guiding the tour at a museum but have described the
layout of the museum to visitors through my observation.
Many tour guides or docents have carried replicas of the objects in a
bag and shown them when they get to a particular area.
I would imagine that at an air museum there are airplanes, rockets and
space shuttles. One could get small models of these and show the
visitor. The display windows also have Braille and/or audio listening
devices.
Please let me know if this is helpful. If you have any questions please
write back.

blind volunteering at air museums.

Thank you

2 Senses Missing, 3 Others Step Up
excerpt
For the deaf and blind performers of Nalagaat, an acclaimed Israeli
theater
ensemble, the impregnable darkness and silence is just reality, a black
canvas on which to work.
