Hi, Brooke.

I am not in that field, but retired from working in the blindness field. Maybe you have already thought about this, but make sure you can justify your chosen career. The counselor has to be able to present to the agency why state rehab monies should be spent in your career. What are your skill sets? Have you had experience? What documentation can you present to help your counselor justify your choice? Asking for other blind persons in the profession is a good start toward that documentation. But you will need to be in the position of helping your counselor help you. Supplying the solutions for the counselor that will answer the vocational choice questions, justifying the expenditure.

Hello everyone! My name is Brooke casarez and I’m attempting to receive financial assistance from the commission of the blind so that I may have the proper support needed whenever I enter the career field I’m planning on being in. I’ve wanted to become a storyboard artist for the better part of a decade and I need to interview a blind or low vision individual who’s working in my chosen field! I’m aware that not many blind people will probably be involved in the animation industry specifically, but as long as any of you are within that general ballpark it’s a-ok! If anyone is available for me to send them interview questions then please reply to this message at your soonest convenience.
