I used a pen and it was a very thick prominent line. I tried a thin stylus and that made a thinner line but still very prominent. It is not an articulate line meaning it is very rippled but you sure can feel it alright!</div><div> If you don't score the Braillon as hard it makes a crisp line that can be felt on the back but then you are back to reverse drawing techniques. Which may or may not suit you. </div><div> This board was designed to use a Bic medium point pen and copy paper. We have used a clay coated glossy paper and we all loved that. It held up better and it made a nice crisp line. I don't use it all the time because it is more expensive. I think a ream of that paper is about $25.00 instead of $5.00 for the standard copy paper. In my classes I think it is more important that students feel free to try lots of techniques without feeling any financial pressure to not mess up.</div><div> We are going to have a number of raised line drawing on exhibit in Dallas.</div><div>Hope this helps.
