<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial>Hi Ann,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial>The next opening will be on April 23. It is being
installed today. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial>Things have gone very well for the show at it's
first venue, - and there will be just two venues in all. I need to move on to do
my own work for my own exhibitions after this - today, I am working on a piece
that is promised for the International Invitational Small Works Salon -
its a show that invites about 200 artists world-wide to create a small work (no
more than 200 inches in circumfrance) and it is hung salon style and in the
order in which the pieces come to the gallery. I have been invited to
participate in this show every year since 2001 - so this is my 13th year to be
in it. I turned in my form to say I would be in the show, and now, I have
to CREATE the piece I promised. Talk about living on the edge, huh!
</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial>Nice to talk with you today. Love to hear about
your projects - any time at all - send them my way - it's just nice to be in
touch.</FONT></DIV>

At least, this raised concept and tool will get some exposure.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia>Congrats, Lynda! </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia>And regarding your upcoming next project-I am
putting in a request or two!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia>Please think about doing something about Joan
of Arc...yes, she wore "boys clothes" and she was one of the world's
greatest Generals (even as a teen). But the Standard that she designed and
had made was a source of pride to her and rather pretty. Just a thought.
Also, when she lived with roalty, she wore the prettiest "girl clothes" that
were offered to her.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia>Also, from the Fifth Century Classical
Greece, there is Clytemnestra-the sister of Helen of Troy and one of the
main characters in the Odyssey. A very important personality to her times,
in her own right.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia>The Pioneer women who crossed the Plains on
foot and in wagons maintained their full skirts the entire way. Quite
amazing since they climbed, forded, herded oxen and rode horses. Some of
their "attire" is interesting, which would include their sunprotective
bonnets, but little could be preserved. Oh-they chose to stay in dresses for
privacy and would encircle another woman/Sister as she bathed, birthed,
etc-using their full skirts for her seclusion and their own privacy as they
toileted.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia>That's all folks!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Georgia></FONT> </DIV>

the end of the project.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=4 face=Arial>Now, I will be putting my creative efforts
into developing a new body of work for my own one person
exhibition, Journey of a Thread, for the next year or two - I will be
creating mixed media fiber works for this show. I am using for my
inspiration, myths and stories of thread, ribbons, cords as metaphors in
literature - from ancient times to the present. I have a lot of research
to do, lots of things to read, and digest to create the work that will
grow out of my reading and research. Literature is rich in imagery
that I can translate into my own work. </FONT></DIV>
