Greetings fellow Federationists and Committee Members:

I hope you are all enjoying the start of spring and, as a result, the beginning of baseball season!

As I mentioned on our last conference call, there are a couple of helpful resources that will be valuable as you monitor autonomous vehicle legislation in your respective states.

Attached please find a simple spreadsheet that lays out state data on road accidents, fatalities and other relevant figures related to your state. This will be very useful as you reach out to state legislators and policymakers in order to advocate on the AV issue. This data comes courtesy of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

And here are two links to great resources, provided by the National Council on State Legislatures (NCSL), which allows you to search a database of state legislation on autonomous vehicles. They lists all of the states that have already enacted legislation and allows you to quickly access the legislation text itself. They also tracks for you the legislation that has been introduced but not yet passed in a given state. All of this information will assist in giving you a starting point from which to open up a dialogue with your state legislature on the issue. I would suggest looking at the primary sponsor of the legislation and the relevant committee members as good places to start.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need any help. I'm always here to assist in any way that I can.

Best,

~Dylan
