Just a heads up about Waymo! I ordered a Waymo in Orlando using there app &
it tried to pick me up 2 blocks away! I missed that one. & yes I did have
the box checked on the app telling to try to pick me up on my side of the
road under accessibility. Got the next one but again it pulled up across the
street. Going back the same problem.

Hello David and everyone,

 

Both Tesla and Waymo operate in Austin with Zoox coming later this year.
Waymo is currently the only Autonomous Rideshare Service in San Antonio.
They're just not in our part of town not yet. Some of their vehicles have
been spotted in the Stone Oak Area. When Waymo finally widens its geofence
to include the Stone Oak Area where we live the countdown to our first ride
will begin. Go Spurs Go!!

If I understand correctly There is both Tesla Robotaxi and Waymo in Austin.

 

The difficulty is if anyone wants to ride in a Waymo, you have to use the
uber app and hope you get a Waymo. There is a setting in the uber app to
prioritize autonomous vehicles, but it's not a guarantee.

 

Tesla Robotaxis are done thru their robotaxi app.
