Fair enough Dave, I concur.

All, we should consider that often the public regretably misinterprets
anything we as individual private citizens write on an NFB-sponsored list as
an automatic NFB opinion. While such misattributions are risible, it has
happened before, in relatively recent times, from quarters that should be
more sophisticated than this.

As such, I do recommend to all and sundry that we use here language which
will not cause our Federation undue embarrassment, whilst always expressing
freely our views on matters that we are passionate about.

Regards,

G.

I want and hope the list will be a place where different views can and are
expressed. Nevertheless, that doesn't justify promoting a potentially
illegal activity. As the person responsible for this and other lists, I can
not have myself, the nfbnet.org domain, or the NFB placed in the position of
promoting potentially illegal activities.

People can say what they want -- I think we just need to be a little more
careful with our wording.

Yes, U.S. book sellers may be primarily interested in money, but that
doesn't justify breaking the law.
