Hi Jan,
I have been here for almost 20 years. I do not feel lost to ask or
answer where I come from.
I could not come to cultural exchange meeting as I was working in the
NFB exhibit hall. I am planning to be at the meeting next year.
We need to share our difference and share our common attribute"
Blindness"
I will invite you all to come to the Committee to Empower underserved
population, which happens on the night before General session. We talk
about our differences and diversity.

Hi Hina,
Well, I didn't meet many international students.
In the Intercultural exchange meeting, there was a guy from India, but
he said that it was his first time.
And, there was so much on the agenda that we did not get to mingle.
I wish that we had.
I thought that I heard other international students there:
But, I felt a bit awkward just walking up to them and saying:
"Hi, my name is Jan. Are you an international student or non-American
NFB member?"
I may not have been received well.
So, here is a question for the group:
Do you mind people approaching you and asking you what country you are
from and other questions about your journey as a blind person????
Or, is that just too personal and do you get tired of answering
questions that emphasize your differences?
