[Blind-international-students] introduction

Hi Jan,

I'm not a faculty member but I am interested in different assistive tools to help our students. I would love to have links about Braille if this will not take up too much of your time. I work with online students so their information is already on the screen and most text-to-speech software will read the information to them. However, when it comes to math it is very challenging for our blind students. Our classes run from 5 to 9 weeks in length so there isn't a lot of time for our students to learn the information. Any ideas you can provide me will be most appreciated.

 Hi Ann,
Have you had any totally blind students receive disability services
from your University?
If you need any links about braille, let us know and I am sure that we
can provide them for you.
Without braille, it is difficult, if not imposible for us to excel in
many classes (specifically where there is lots of reading or
matthematical concepts).
But, Those with Math and Science degrees can make a better testimony than I.
Glad to know that a faculty member is on our list.
