Hi Hena,
I am sorry that you are not coming to the convention. We will miss you
very much.
For all the international students who are coming to the convention,
there is a meeting on the afternoon after the board meeting. This
meeting is international cultural exchange and to have a good time.
For all interested or if this is your first time please go to this
meeting.
Saturday evening there is the first timers gathering in meeting. I will
be at this meeting mentoring and helping some new members.
If any of the new comers have a question, or would like to meet me I
will be in the Maryland group. This will be my 16th convention and I am
more than happy to help anyone.

hi fikru,
thanks for your response. no skype is still the same and is very
accessible
and easy to use. i would love to come to convention but i don't have
funding
to attend. i attended that last year on jernigan scholarship but this
year
i don't have any means of funding to do so and it is through national
convention i met so many blind internationals that i decided to start
this
group. i am so glad i was able to do so.
but we can always talk on the phone or skype as blind international
conference call.
take care and please write more about yourself.
hina.

Thank you Carly and Hina for introducing yourselves. Is either of you
coming to Dallas? Or, for that matter, is anyone coming to Dallas
interested in a get-together? I think Anmol is coming to Dallas from
the email I read.

Hina, I had used skype several years back. All I had to do was
download the skype software and get a speaker mike. Have things changed
since?

Fikru
