The meeting was called to order a bit after 3:00.
No reports to be accepted.
Those in attendance: Hina, Phillip, Jan ... and Imran who clicked in a bit
later.
There was some discussion concerning the low attendance on the conference
call.
We have decided to ask the listserv if there is anything that we can do to
encourage them to participate.
Possible names for the group are:
Blind without Borders,
Blind Internationals and Friends
Division of International Affairs
We were looking for something catchy: maybe an acronym or something.
We want people to remember it.
This is the last time that we will ask for input from listmembers on the
list.
Any discussion?
Hina and Jan are to come up with a mission statement. At the next meeting,
we will read it and ask for a vote of acceptance.
Then, we can start a membership drive of sorts. We will try to find members
from other organizations and secters of the blind community.
We thought about other public awareness opportunities.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:02.
The next meeting is in two weeks, October 3, 2010 at 3:00 Eastern Standard
Time.
