Hi everyone!
My name is Mihai Plavitu and I am a student at Aalborg University, Denmark,
Master of Tourism. I am interested in making a tourism research for the
visually impaired tourists. I already did a research on ways of traveling and
barriers for tourists with visual impairments. I always thought that such
researches should be made in cooperation with the persons in cause and for this
reason I would like to hear your opinions and your suggestions for further
research related to tourism. What issues do you think should be analysed in the
academic literature?

Thank you and I am looking forward to hear from you.

Hi,

I am from India.
Why don't you contact NGOs that work for the blind in Pakistan? I'm
sure they'll be able to help you. There must be many training centres
in big cities in Pakistan for training the visually impaired.
Alternatively, you can also learn independent living skills at any of
the training centres for the blind here in India like All India
Confederation for the Blind (AICB), Enable India, etc.

You know, you might be able to look into a training center here in the U.S. but honestly I'm not sure how that would work. If you did decide to contact the Colorado Center for the blind, or the louisiana center for the blind, for examples, they may be able to either help train you, or help you find an organization in your part of the world that can help you out.

I think Colorado center or any NFB training Center might be able to
help with the funding. Try approaching them as well as lions and
rotary clubs. hope this helps.

Hi,

As far as the software engineering bit goes, there are several
universities in the US that provide scholarships too international
students. You might want to check that option out too. US educational
foundations in Pakistan might be able to help you out with that.

Best,
