Hello,
I am planning on earning my Master of Science in Geography at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. I have a few questions about studying and earning my degree in New Zealand. If anyone could answer these questions, it would be greatly appreciated.
1. What kinds of rights do I have as a blind student in New Zealand?
2. What kinds of accommodations can I ask for to ensure I am on equal footing with my peers in the papers that I take?
3. For my undergraduate degree, I would usually go in and talk with the professor before term started and go through the accommodation I needed. I also made myself available to answer the questions they had about the technology I would use in their class and other questions they may have had. Is it appropriate for me to do the same while at the University of Canterbury?
Thank you gory our responses ahead of time.
Cheers,
Kaden
