Hi, all:

I'm going to show my ignorance here, but what is a mini guide, and/or a cane
guide?--Susan

Erica, I personally use a long cane with a roler tip. Well long cane does
not mean six feet long smile. My cane is about two feet in front of me.
But I use my feet to move the manual wheelchair.I have decent control for
quick stops. I am only part time in this chair.
I have heard people talk about using the mini guide, but it does not detect
drop offs. Hey scares me, shiver. But for some they find it a fine tool.

Sorry to bug you all again so soon, but I'm wondering.
Right now I use a manual wheelchair.
I probably should look into getting an electric one, but for now, I at m
interested to know what you all use to see in front of you.
Fo example, long cane, guide cane, k-sonar etc.

Thoughts?

Erica.
