Back when I was going through wheelchair clenic earlier this year, I actually did a test drive on a power chair in the clenic.
First thing I did before operating it was to make sure the chair wasn't turned on, slowed the speed way down upon listening to my surroundings to avoid accidentally getting anyone.
Yes, there are fast power chairs out there, but me personally, I wouldn't like to go fast and nor can I handle quick motion like that either.
It will take a while for my retire guide/medical alert service dog son Odie to adjust seeing me rolling around on wheels.
I want to give credit to listers who have mentioned great resources in regards of power chairs and I'll be keeping that in mind, especially when having to venture outtdoors.
It always helps to learn and keep resources on hand.
