[Blind-rollers] Looking for Louisiana travel tips

Hi all,

I’m going to visit my boyfriend in West Monroe, LA, for three weeks in April. Of course I want to see some of the country as well as him. The question is, of course, what is worthwhile and possible to visit for a blind person in a wheelchair. As far as what is in this area, we’ve found a museum we could go to, but we can also go further afield as I’m bringing personal assistance and renting a car. So, does anybody have any tips? Also, is there anything I ought to know about concerning accessible toilets, restaurants and so on that I as a foreigner might not be aware of?
