Hi, all,
I'm curious of what and how your paratransit programs operate in your state or country if one exists?
are the also wheelchair accessible?
Recently, Accessaride here in in Colorado also monitored by RTD (Regional Transportation District) ended up with new vehicles where at the very front seating area, they only have a seat to fit one individual.
The new style vans do not accomodate those with wheelchairs, walkers and service dogs in a safe way of travel.
I've seen a couple of the van so far, but will honestly say I'm not very impressed with them.
Speaking of transportation, CCDC (Colorado Cross Disability Colision) is in the middle of a lawsuit with RTD as RTD is failing to be sure ADA accomodation meets their standards to provide fair access to all passengers.
I've been asked if I would be a plaintiff in the case, so will take on the challenge.
