[Blind-rollers] needing instruction

Hi,
It looks like the store I bought the chair from is no longer in business and they are in OR and I am in CA. So I'm not sure who would be a reliable person here in CA. 

I was sure the battery would be okay plugged in, because that was what they had recommended. But it is acting dead now and there is no way that I know of to get it in anywhere. Well, wait a minute. I might be able to manually roll it to paratransit and get it to a store. Now that is a possibility I hadn't thought of. You have to turn a couple levers for it to move at all, manually, but it will.

I'm thinking that it being as new as it is must be under warranty.  Can you contact the dealer where you bought it and find out?  They must know where it can be serviced, and the servicing people should come to you.  I don't think they can be overcharged, and when they are plugged in they should be charging.  Usually most chairs (at least all the ones I've had) charge overnight.  If it is dead you can get a new battery from Batteries Plus and it's way cheaper then buying them through a medical place.

Hi,
I finally had an opportunity to work with someone using an extra-long cane with my power chair. But when I went to move it, the battery seems to be dead. I have only had the chair since January and used it very little so far. They told me to keep it plugged in when I wasn't using it, so that is what I did. Now I wonder if I ran it down.

Is this battery, if it is dead, useless or can it be recharged? If it can be recharged, how/? I still have it plugged in.

If it is dead, how do I get it replaced because I can't get it to a store or anything.

Yes the company you got the chair from can come with a programmer and change hos fast it takes corners, and how much pressure you put on the joystick to make it move.

Thanks. So if I wanted, I could have the joystick set so that it was harder to push? That might help me right now. It just wiggles all over the place right now and my chair squiggles down the hall almost uncontrolled.

You can have your chair controls adjusted to make them fit your driving style and you can also get a cut out template to get a better feel for forward, left, right etc.
Currently your controller can be thought of as a circle, if you wanted just
4 directions you could have a cross, 8 directions looks a bit like a flower for example.
