Hi blind wheelchair users. Sorry for the short notice but I forgot to post this yesterday. Today is the first Saturday of the month and that means it?s time for our monthly conference call of blind people with physical disabilities. Our calls are Saturday on the first Saturday of a month at 3:00 P.M. eastern. The November meeting will take place on the second Saturday of a month since I will be at national federation of the blind state convention on the first Saturday of November. This is the conference call that has run in the braille monitor that I am taking over.  This was originally a conference call devoted to those who are blind who have cerebral palsy. I have expanded the scope to include all of those with physical impairments since cerebral palsy is too narrow. I am taking on this task because the person who had tried to establish this group often didn?t show up for the conference calls and has on at least three or four different occasions changed the day and time.  Also in spite of several times running the announcements in the braille monitor they have wanted to do this but have not shown a commitment to it so I?m taking it on. That?s today Saturday at 3:00 P.M. eastern time. The phone number is area code 721 831-0000 and your access code is 999999 followed by the pound sign.  We will hopefully discuss the additional challenges of transportation, accessibility face by those with physical impairments as well as blindness. This includes wheelchair or scooter users, those who use support canes or walkers in addition to the long white cane.  So call into that number at 3:00 eastern.
