This is something I will need to do in the near future is I am thinking of having two knee replacements probably at same time. And I must return to work as a psychologist within two weeks. So probably will need to have both white cane and Walker

I'm strictly a power wheelchair user now but did try and use my walker with a white cane for a while and found it to be challenging. The one adaptation which made it possible was to have arm troughs installed on my walker so I leaned on them with my forearms which left my hands free. Having that and a lightweight cane and one long enough to reach out beyond the front of the walker works quite well though I never felt comfortable using it outdoors much because I found I would veer off to the side and was always afraid my walker would go off the side of the sidewalk.
