[Blind-rollers] I knew this was coming/can anyone help?

Hi
I would strongly not recommend to purchase one because they can really (with a rehab specialists help) be customized to exactly what you need. For example, I was able to get Medicare to pay for an attendant control so there is a joy stick on the back of my chair and if I'm in a place where I don't feel safe driving I can get a sighted person to drive my chair from the back and I use this feature a lot.

I certainly hope that you can get the a valuation you need for insurance coverage. But if for any reason you do not it is certainly possible to simply purchase a power wheelchair even on Amazon. :-)

If you are in Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, I can connect you. If any one wants to judge you because your blind, they have to provide ONM instructor for the evaluation but, that can be a catch 22 as not all of them would say a blind individual can use an electric chair. I have not been wel for a while but, if you want you can e-mail me and I can try to conect you to resources.

The medical info, the x-rays etc, show that I qualify for a motorized chair due to the extent of the osteoarthritis in my knees and hips. However, and you guessed it, they are concerned about the safety of a blind person using a motorized chair.
