Hi,

They are working on getting me a new wheelchair. I do have to be evaluated
since I am going toward a motorized chair. The medical info, the x-rays etc,
show that I qualify for a motorized chair due to the extent of the
osteoarthritis in my knees and hips. However, and you guessed it, they are
concerned about the safety of a blind person using a motorized chair.

Sooooo, would anyone be willing to give me your phone number and be willing
to talk to whomever is involved to help advocate for me? I mean, I can tell
them theoretically, but an actual blind user would be the best. If so,
please contact me at

lauren at catlines.com

Thanks,

Lauren Merryfield

Ps:I've been using a manual chair and that is quite difficult. It seems like
a motorized chair would be easier for me, especially since my arms are not
that strong either.

Much of the time, I can hear whether I am heading for a wall or I'm out in
the middle etc, by the sound. I don't know how to explain that to a sighted
person. I guess it is sonar or something. Like, when I used to walk, I could
hear trees or pillars etc, off to my right or left without using a cane on
them.

Yea! the audiobook version of "Jesus makes the difference" is now available
on audible . com (delete the spaces).
