Oh Debbie, that is so awesome. Congrats to Winona and Daniel, that is a real
accomplishment!
And the other news is great, really great, and about time some people in
that district anyway got on the ball! Or should I say the horn, smile.

I can really imagine and understand how good this feels--enjoy, celebrate!!

May I brag a bit? I knew my kids were "Superior", but now I have proof!
Thursday at the Jazz competition their band received a "Superior" rating,
and today at Solo and Ensemble they each received a "Superior" rating! Yay!
Lots of hard work went into practicing and preparing.

For those that don't know, Winona is 12 ("until April") and blind from ROP.
Daniel is 13 and sighted. Both are in the middle school Jazz and Symphonic
bands.

More good news, I was chatting with the high school band director where the
kids will go starting in 9th grade. While teaching in NY he had a blind
student, so he's "been there, done that." He also is good friends with the
current band director, so they'll work together for a smooth transition.
Yay!
