[blindkid] Compass Suggestions

Hi Everyone,
I just came back from a parent orientation at our Middle School.
Our 6th grader is heading off to a wilderness science camp for a week along 
with over 400 classmates.
No parent chaperones or cell phones allowed -> you can imagine the shock 
some parents had, esp. as some of the kids have never spent that amount of 
time on their own :-)
We would like to get Vejas a braille or talking compass -> any suggestions?
