[blindkid] Youth activities at nat. convention?

I am a first timer to the convention this year and am a little too over-protective of my daughter. I was just wondering how the youth activities go. Are there plenty of chaperones or should we pick one parent between ourselves to stay with our daughter? She is 7 years old and very independant and would rather not have me hanging around but I am a worrier.
