I second the adaptap from the swim company.  We got some when they were working on them for my sons and it really was better than having someone to tap, especially if your team is small like ours.  The great thing about them is that they clip on the lane lines anywhere you want.  So if you are a bigger person and need more length to let you know you are when you need to turn you can clip them on where needed or shorter if you have a small person.  They are great!!
