We had to fight and fight to get Braille for our daughter. She has low vision and can see large print. We wanted her to have every tool available to her, and she gets older she can choose what works best for her. We took a local member of the NFB with us....my how the whole dynamic changed. It became 'what can we do for you and your daughter?'.  Educational advocates are a wonderful resource, and often free.
