Our final band concert was tonight. Emotional evening as our director is
leaving after 40 years. He SO gets it with Winona, and has truly nurtured
her talents. Winona loves her music and it shows in her dedication and
perseverance against all odds. 

Many of you know that she made the 4-County honor band again, and that she
was the only student in our district to be selected for All-State Honor
band. At tonight's concert she was given the "John Phillips Souza" award. It
is the highest award given to a band member.

We're so proud of her and all that she has accomplished!!
